Passage : The Helpful Tree
Riya walked to school every day through a small park. In the middle of the park stood a huge mango tree. During summer, the tree gave cool shade to tired travellers. Birds built nests on its branches, and children loved to sit under it and read storybooks. One afternoon, a strong storm hit the town. Many branches of the tree broke, but the tree still stood firmly. The next morning, people in the neighbourhood cleaned the park and watered the tree carefully. Within a few months, fresh green leaves appeared again.
